Randy Caiquo was born in a village called Apam in the Central region of Ghana. He is the founder of Crowdfrica Organisation (crowdfrica.org), a nonprofit crowdfunding platform that enables anyone anywhere to donate to directly fund life-changing healthcare for people in need across Africa. Randy launched the organization in November 2016, after his brother died because his family could not afford to take him to the hospital. To date over 250 people have been funded and given access to life-changing healthcare on crowdfrica.org and 2000 people have been educated on community health issues and health insurance. Crowdfrica made it onto Ghana’s Startup Club 100 list for 2017 and was nominated for technology startup of the year award. His organization was also recently nominated for the World Summit Awards. Randy’s hope is to see everyone on the continent have access to the healthcare they need and all children have access to quality education.
