La Asociaci\u00f3n Civil Andar es una organizaci\u00f3n social ubicada en Moreno, Provincia de Buenos Aires, Argentina, que trabaja desde hace m\u00e1s de 20 a\u00f1os generando oportunidades innovadoras para el desarrollo creativo del potencial de las personas con discapacidad a trav\u00e9s del trabajo, el deporte, el arte, la cultura y la salud, para mejorar su calidad de vida, afianzar sus v\u00ednculos familiares y promover su inclusi\u00f3n social. <\/p>\n

La idea de la Asociaci\u00f3n Civil Andar surge a principios del a\u00f1o 1985 como una alternativa social diferente, que propone ofrecer a ni\u00f1os, j\u00f3venes y adultos con discapacidad, la oportunidad de desarrollar actividades recreativas, l\u00fadicas, deportivas y culturales a partir de propuestas concretas y sistem\u00e1ticas. <\/p>\n

Con este fin, hace m\u00e1s de 20 a\u00f1os se comenz\u00f3 a construir un programa de trabajo que debi\u00f3 enfrentar muchos problemas: la ausencia de pol\u00edticas p\u00fablicas al respecto, la falta de aceptaci\u00f3n social de la diversidad, la desinformaci\u00f3n sobre las necesidades especiales y el desconocimiento de las potencialidades de las personas con discapacidades. Tambi\u00e9n tuvo que desafiar otras limitaciones como visiones asistencialistas o paternalistas que muchas veces imped\u00edan el desarrollo aut\u00f3nomo de tales j\u00f3venes; as\u00ed como la sobreprotecci\u00f3n, la negaci\u00f3n, el rechazo o las culpas de las familias generadas por la falta de contenci\u00f3n, orientaci\u00f3n e informaci\u00f3n. <\/p>\n
