La Fondation APICIL est une fondation lyonnaise ayant pour objet la lutte contre la douleur, physique et psychique \u00e0 tous les \u00e2ges de la vie. Elle a \u00e9t\u00e9 cr\u00e9\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019initiative du groupe paritaire de protection sociale APICIL. \u00c0 travers un m\u00e9c\u00e9nat financier, elle encourage, en France m\u00e9tropolitaine, la r\u00e9alisation de projets d\u2019int\u00e9r\u00eat g\u00e9n\u00e9ral qui participent \u00e0 soulager la douleur des personnes malades. Pour cela, elle se place au service des acteurs de terrain (\u00e9quipes m\u00e9dicales, de recherche ou associations) pour les aider \u00e0 concr\u00e9tiser leurs projets en mati\u00e8re de lutte contre la douleur gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 l\u2019expertise des membres de son conseil scientifique. Elle r\u00e9pond aux besoins des chercheurs, des \u00e9quipes m\u00e9dicales et des associations en France qui ont des id\u00e9es mais pas toujours les moyens de les r\u00e9aliser. La Fondation APICIL est l’une des sept fondations fran\u00e7aises cr\u00e9\u00e9es par une seule entreprise et reconnues d\u2019utilit\u00e9 publique. Dot\u00e9e \u00e0 sa cr\u00e9ation de 9 millions d\u2019euros de capital initial, elle a \u00e9t\u00e9 reconnue par l’Observatoire de la Fondation de France comme faisant partie des plus grandes fondations fran\u00e7aises. Tous les projets financ\u00e9s par la Fondation font l\u2019objet d\u2019un accompagnement. Le d\u00e9roulement du projet ainsi que l\u2019utilisation des subventions sont contr\u00f4l\u00e9s r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement.
