Le Village d\u2019enfants Pestalozzi est, \u00e0 l\u2019origine, une r\u00e9ponse de la Suisse aux horreurs de la Deuxi\u00e8me Guerre mondiale. Des orphelins de guerre de toute l\u2019Europe sont alors venus \u00e0 Trogen pour apprendre \u00e0 vivre ensemble en paix au c\u0153ur de l\u2019idyllique pays d\u2019Appenzell. La paix gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 l\u2019entente entre les peuples est le but principal, tandis que la formation au sens o\u00f9 l\u2019entend Heinrich Pestalozzi en est la cl\u00e9. Si l\u2019id\u00e9e visionnaire initiale est rest\u00e9e, le mode de travail a chang\u00e9.
