Ankie is the Founder & CEO of Shifted, a Hong Kong-based organization that consults public and private sectors on impact investing and Social Impact Bonds (SIB) development. Ankie completed the Master of Public Policy (MPP) degree in 2016 at the Blavatnik School of Government, University of Oxford as a Kwok Scholar from the Kwok Scholars Association. She was also awarded a scholarship grant by the Oxford & Cambridge Society of Hong Kong. Ankie holds a B.A. (Honours) in International Relations and Economics from University of Toronto. Ankie previously worked at the Social Investment & Finance Team at the Cabinet Office of the UK Government on policy recommendations to develop a social investment fund for the UK pension fund market. She has also worked with the SIB Fund Team at Bridges Ventures to develop a methodology translating social value to government savings for UK practitioners. To further the discipline on global SIB research, Ankie is part of the OxNet SIB team, which is dedicated to researching the use of SIBs to scale an education outreach program led by Pembroke College at University of Oxford. Ankie previously managed Investor Relations for SOW Asia Foundation, a Hong Kong-based venture philanthropic fund. Prior to transitioning to impact investing, Ankie’s background was in Equity Research and was ranked by Bloomberg as the top analyst for China Utilities. She has had IPO experience in Utilities and Consumer company listings in Hong Kong. Ankie is currently a Member of the Organizing Committee of the Social Enterprise Summit, one of the largest social impact conferences in Asia, held annually in Hong Kong.
