Marina Coriolano-Lykourezos was born in London, England, a child of a Greek father and a Brazilian-American mother. Raised between France, Brazil, Greece and England, she is a multi-cultural polyglot. She has a french baccalaureat, and studied Art History & Anthropology at the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London. She now lives on the island of Aegina. Her interests have always been multifold : she was the Co-organiser of 5th & 6th International Month of Photography of the Hellenic Centre for Photography; she was the Production manager, assistant director & interpreter for a documentary on ancient Athenian democracy for the French Ministry of Education, Paris, France; she founded and directed cats&marbles gallery for antiques and contemporary art and was the Fundraiser of the Athens Information Technology Institute. She organised and curated exhibitions, edited several books & catalogues, and made research on various arts and related projects. She recently (2012) founded The Cool Projects with partner Yanis Zagorianakos – a factory based on the island of Aegina that produces a series of all natural handmade soaps under the brand Cool Soaps.
