Majed El Bdeiwi was born in Beirut – Lebanon. Since graduating from Business School in Lebanon, he has been an active development professional, program manager and consultant passionate about social innovation, social entrepreneurship and child protection and development programs. He has worked in that field for the past 18 years through various projects and missions in the Middle East and Europe. He started his career early 1996, working for the International NGOs, Majed has over 15 years of experience with the International NGOs and other international development organizations, including UNDP, and NGOs, including Enfant Refugees du Monde, Premiere Urgence, Norwegian Refugees Council, International Medical Corps, People in Need, Terre Des Hommes.
All focus on social change and integrated child protection and youth empowerment, especially concerning the young and the socially vulnerable. He has accumulated extensive knowledge and experience in designing and managing comprehensive remedial education, learning environmet enhancement, child protection development programs for NGOs and international development organizations. His specialties include institutional development of non-governmental organizations, strategic planning, program and project management,social inclusion and youth development including education, technical and vocational talent management, programs impact assessment of international development programs, fundraising for development. Majed is an active player, advisor and coach of development programs and member of multiple organizations board from different countries.He has trained more than 750child protection, psychosocial and youth/community empowerment staff and program members over the past 5 years.Recently, as a program officer, he has been developing and leading a new project that combines remedial education, learning environment enhancement and psychosocial support program under a Sub-Granting Management Program in Germany.He has conducted and/or coordinated program researches, monitored multiple projects, and managed more than 20 inter/national projects (USAID, EU, UN, and other funded projects). Currently based in Germany, heworks with both Arabic and English speaking clients and specializes in child protection, youth empowerment and lifeskills, cultural adaptation and community mobilization, social inclusion and the establishment of a safe environment.
