 Samson Samuel Ogallah is the Senior Climate Change Specialist at Solidaridad Network. Prior to joining Solidaridad Network, Ogallah was the Programme Manager at the Pan African Climate Justice Alliance (PACJA) with lots of outstanding achievements and also lectured at the Catholic University of Eastern Africa. Ogallah has over 17 years of experience in development and social work ranging from human rights, peacebuilding, conflict prevention and management to environment, climate change and sustainable development issues. He is a strategic thinker and mentor to many young people in the development sector. He is also keen on civil rights and social actions especially those that serves to empower the poor, vulnerable and less privileged groups. 

Before joining PACJA, Ogallah served in different positions in several organizations and institutions in including Women Trafficking and Child Labour Eradication Foundation (WOTCLEF), Centre for Peace Advancement in Nigeria (CEPAN), West Africa Network for Peacebuilding (WANEP), Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Nigerian Environmental Study/Action Team (NEST).

Ogallah has provided consultancy support for many organizations on peace and conflict, climate change, environment and sustainable development issues.  He co-authored a section on Cross–Sectoral Issues of the Climate Change Adaptation Strategy Technical Report (CCASTR) for Building Nigeria’s Response to Climate Change (BNRCC), a technical document that substantially informed the National Adaptation Strategy and Plan of Action on Climate Change for Nigeria (NASPA-CCN) and the Nigeria’s Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC). He was also part of the team that produced the NASPA-CCN. Ogallah was recognized by ICF-Marbek and CUSO-VSO both in Ottawa, Canada, in November 2011 for his outstanding contribution to the realization of the objectives of Building Nigeria’s Response to Climate Change. Ogallah has also authored several publications including articles, technical reports and journals that are published locally and internationally.
