Elmoctar M. Yahya  is a journalist and a documentary producer from Mauritania. He worked as a journalist for news agencies and in a private satellite channel. He is the Director General at SMMAP (Société Mauritanienne Médias/Arts Production). He was also Editor in chief of the website Aloufouq and news coordinator for the Essirage Foundation for Media and Publishing. He writes short stories, and deals with cultural and human rights issues (writing and producing). Ηe is a Media official in a number of organizations and cultural and artistic festivals in Mauritania.
