Evans Njoro is passionate as an educator and social entrepreneur. He believes in the boundless potential of young people. For over 20 years, his work in the private sector and with non-profits has strengthened his purpose to equip youth with skills and a viable opportunity to enhance their livelihoods. He has strong expertise in the design and implementation of programs with a focus on education, entrepreneurship, leadership, work readiness, technology and financial literacy. During the past 15 years he has served as the executive leader of various social enterprises in Kenya and Sub- Saharan Africa. Since 2009 he has collaborated with, mentored and coached leaders of start-ups, small and medium scale enterprises and non-profits, including board members, directors and their teams to enhance their capacity to be mission compliant. He is the Director of Learning and Development at Futures Africa.
Previously, he served as Foundation Administrator for the Nancy Ellen Crooks Foundation, Country Director for Digital Opportunity Trust Kenya, Regional Director for Eastern & Southern Africa at Junior Achievement Worldwide, Executive Director of Junior Achievement Kenya and the Administrator for Enterprise Advisory Services at PricewaterhouseCoopers. He is Chairman of the Action Network for the Disabled, Founder Member of the Eastern Africa Social Entrepreneurs Network and a Board Member for the Workforce Development Global Alliance Kenya. Evans is a certified accountant and has a Bachelors degree in Education. He is a graduate of the Executive Development Program at The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and was trained as an Entrepreneurial Leadership Educator at the African Leadership Academy, South Africa.
