Jan Tilinger has a PhD in Civil Engineering from the Czech Technical University. His professional experience includes teaching civil engineering in developing countries at CTU Prague, Chairman of Civic Association Surya, leading development project, J&K, India, Senior Civil Engineering International Consultant in the employment of the Luxembourg government in India and Nepal for the purpose of providing recommendations to optimize future NGO interventions (CertiSud). He has also had experience in running a private craft school, providing technical analysis for the Czech Development Aid in Angola and Zambia and conducting drinking water research in Nepal and mapping arsenic pollution. He has taken part in a number of photography exhibitions and written articles on popular science, civil engineering and ethnology.
