Lila Carée started her career in human rights working for the First Lady’s Cabinet in Gabon, working on violence against women both office and field based. Afterwards, as a study analyst for the AfricaFrance Foundation in Paris, she worked on sustainable development in Africa and women’s leadership and entrepreneurship. Subsequently, when working at the EU Delegation to Vietnam, she focused on human rights violations and democracy. Her long standing interests include women’s rights, refugee rights and education. She has extensive experience in conducting legal research, policy, advocacy and capacity building activities. She believes it is her mission to help others and make the world a better place.
