Kristin Lauria is a peacebuilding professional, educator, and social change consultant with fifteen years of experience working with NGOs, academic institutions, and public and private organizations in the United States, China, the Middle East, and East and West Africa.  Ms. Lauria currently works as a consultant for small-mid-sized organizations on issues related to peace and conflict, development, and education. She completed her Masters in Coexistence and Conflict at Brandeis University (2014) and her undergraduate education in Philosophy (Global Ethics) at Principia College (2003).
She has previously worked on people-to-people peace building programs in the Middle East at the Euphrates Institute; taught Gender Studies and Global Women’s Issues at Principia College; translated (from Mandarin Chinese to English) and edited academic manuscripts on Democracy and Rule of Law and the Sociology of Religion for Brill Academic Publishers; and worked as an intercultural facilitator and trainer in Mainland China. Her areas of interest include grassroots change, organizational capacity building, peace education, people-to-people peace processes, women’s empowerment and development, youth education and leadership, and global citizenship.
