LORIS CONTE

OLBIOS CORRESPONDENT ITALY & CROATIA

I have worked abroad several times (Spain, Croatia) so I have learnt by experience to speak a few foreign languages and to cope with complicated problems without difficulty or fear. I am studying political science at Milan University and at Pompeu Fabra of Barcelona (Erasmus+). The main aspects of my academic training are studies in the social, economic and legal environment witch I have managed to combine with my experience abroad, full of the desire to achieve and learn, to have new experiences and eager to further develop my skills. I am president of the association Positiva Milano: an apolitical and non-profit association. The Association works with public and private entities, either Italian and European (for example with Pozitiva Samobor, our Croatian twin association). This NGO is an association for sustainable development and socio-cultural promotion which makes use of Erasmus+ fund of European Union as an instrument to support youth growth. It implements primarily Youth Exchanges within Erasmus+. The Erasmus programme creates awareness and makes it possible to strengthen ties between people of different nations, breaking down cultural barriers more than any common market or single currency policies can do. This
is what has led me to establish Positiva Milano, and that’s what pushes me forward: change the lives of young Italians and create an European generation, proud of their roots but ready to learn about other cultures and to build a better world.
