Mihai Valentin Vladimirescu was born in Craiova, Romania and has studied Theology and Humanities in Romania (University of Craiova, University A. I. Cuza of Iasi), Israel (Hebrew University of Jerusalem), Switzerland (University of Fribourg), Italy (Pontifical Biblical Institute) and Greek culture and civilization in Greece (University of Patras and Aegean University). He is full professor at the Faculty of Letters of the University of Craiova. He is the winner of the prestigious Global Prize Doha International Award for Interfaith Dialogue 2014 and President of the Center for Promoting Intercultural Dialogue. He has an extensive expertise in research, writing and speaking, conducting training seminars and workshops: 17 author books, 5 coordinated volumes, 5 books translated, many participations in international conferences and congresses (Osaka, Atlanta, Montreal, Moskow, Stockholm, Geneva, Sankt Petersburg, New Delhi, Bremen, Dresden, Damasc, Doha, Lahti, Las Vegas, Rio de Janeiro, Doha, Dubai, New Orleans, Wien, Jerusalem, Gottenheim, Rome, Tel-Aviv, Graz, London, Amsterdam, Pavia, Dublin, Baku, Seoul, Beijing). Besides the basic didactic activity, he is also a renowned expert in several public institutions, national and international (European Commission, European Cooperation in Science and Technology, Romanian Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport of Czech Republic, Ministry of Education, Universities and Research of Italy, Romanian National Council of Scientific Research in Higher Education). He has extensive experience in educational management and in the implementation of European funded projects. Apart of some editorial responsabilities for severval magazines he is also Romania coordinator for Liaison Network of Society of Biblical Literature, Atlanta, USA. His interests focus on religious studied, cultural diplomacy, higher education systems, civil society projects.
