Dr. Christopher J. Stanfill is the Senior Director of Data & Operations at Pencils of Promise in New York City. In this role, he oversees all data systems, data analytics, and global operational support activities throughout the organization. Dr. Stanfill and his team are responsible for producing all impact reporting at Pencils of Promise and work to ensure that results are presented transparently and thoughtfully, for both internal and external audiences. Dr. Stanfill has established himself as a thought leader in the field of international development and prior to his role at Pencils of Promise, he dedicated his professional life to improving access to education and health services for people with disabilities living in rural areas of less-resourced settings.
Dr. Stanfill has shared his passion for improving the lives of people living with disabilities at various international conferences, including being featured on a panel at the 9th session of the Conference of State Parties to the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities at the United Nations in New York City. His advocacy for improved wheelchair services continues with membership on the Professional Standards Board for the International Society of Wheelchair Professionals. Dr. Stanfill was a Henry Luce Scholar in 2011-2012 and was placed with World Education in Vientiane, Laos. He received his doctorate from the University of Texas at Austin.
