Rosalie Tieges is a full-time philanthropist with a creative, growth focused mind who knows how to implement global knowledge on a grassroots level in a sustainable way. She started her charitable work in the international volunteer community rooted in the European Union. When she transferred to Thailand in 2004, it became her whole life. She graduated on research on the positive AND negative impact of long-term volunteering in rural communities in developing countries and put her theory and methods to use for the next twenty years! Implementing the first community based recycle bank systems with local children, starting Community Creative Learning Centers and developing customized, simple educational programmes for uneducated caregivers of special need children. She founded the Thai Child Development Foundation that supports underprivileged children in rural communities who fall outside the local education and medical system. She is aware that implementing projects on a local level might not change the world, but for those children she does reach she makes a world of difference!
Philanthropist specialized in community development, special need education and forest schooling. Building bridges between global network partners of educational institutions and CSR focused companies, Rosalie transforms knowledge and makes it available to changemakers on the ground in Asia’s rural communities. Giving people in her network the opportunity to expand their impact in a sustainable way.
