OLBIOS CORRESPONDENT MALI
Born in Ivory Coast from Malian parents, Moctar Kane relocated to his father and motherland following the wave of post-electoral violence in the 2000s. He studied Literature and language at the University of Bamako before pursuing further studies at Rhodes University and the University of Oxford, where he graduated in 2016 with an M.Phil. in Development Studies. Passionate about governance, democracy, politics, conflict, and stability issues, Moctar has written and presented extensively on these topics in his academic as well as his professional experience. He is an experienced project and programme manager, researcher, and advisor who has worked for academic institutions and both governmental and non-governmental organisations in fragile and conflict-affected contexts.
