OLBIOS CORRESPONDENT NEPAL

Olin Thakur is a human rights, humanitarian, and development professional. He is mostly engaged in the areas of human rights, gender equality and social inclusion, humanitarian and sustainable development projects and promoting and facilitating SDGs localization. Currently, he serves as a Country Representative/Director of Give Me 5 Campaign, Nepal Chapter (GM5 is a campaigning and advocacy organization with members in over 40 countries taking action to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals.) He also serves as a Senior Programme Manager for WAPJD (an alliance of women rights organizations).
Previously he has served UNESCO, UN WFP, Food for the Hungry, and few other organizations in various roles. During his work with various organizations, some of the major projects he has facilitated are: capacity development for Education for All and Climate Change Education for Sustainable Development; child development programme;  UN/PFN education and federalism project, women rights initiatives for equal participation and representation; and post-disaster relief, reconstruction, and rehabilitation projects.
