CapWay’s founder, Sheena Allen, grew up in a small town with one bank. As a result, the people in her community, including family and friends, would keep their money in their home or use other fee-heavy alternative banking options. The reasons ranged from not trusting the banking system to no banks being available to the available banks charging ridiculous fees.
Sheena’s top mission for starting CapWay is to restore trust and provide a fair opportunity to safely store, grow, and learn money.
Indeed, older Gen Z and Millennials have grown up in a social and tech world where information and activities are at the tip of their fingers. CapWay’s mobile bank aims to combine social content with technology to present finance in a way that relates to the next generation.
