Christian Aid is an organization that wants to end poverty. They work globally for profound change that eradicates the causes of poverty, striving to achieve equality, dignity and freedom for all, regardless of faith or nationality. They consider themselves a part of a wider movement for social justice. Their essential purpose is to expose the scandal of poverty and to help root it out. They are an agency of churches in Britain and Ireland and are mandated to work on relief, development and advocacy for poverty eradication. They work with and for the churches, as well as with other faith and secular groups. They also engage with other key actors, including civil society, government and the private sector.
