We propose you to watch the official trailer of Ngo Okafor’s documentary, titled “The Triumph Of THe Will’. The documentary chronicles African American black male model/actor, Ngo’s journey from Nigeria to The United States, his modeling and acting career and his impressive run to win two back-to-back Golden Gloves Boxing championships. Most of all he talks about starting his charity Champion Spirit Foundation which will help rebuild the amateur boxing program in Nigeria. He declares : “I have a dream of making Nigeria safe again. I have a duty to fight to make this dream come true. I want to see a Nigeria where people can move about freely during the day or night, without fear of being robbed at gunpoint or kidnapped or murdered. Idle young kids in Nigeria graduate to become the armed robbers and kidnappers of tomorrow. My younger brother was robbed at gun point on a visit to Nigeria. My first cousin, with whom I grew up, recently had her first son kidnapped and murdered in Nigeria. The perpetrators of this heinous crime were all under the age of 19. A few years ago, my mother’s sister went home to Nigeria for Christmas, only to get caught i the crossfire between their private security team and armed robbers who got wind of their presence. The shootout left one of the armed robbers dead in their front lawn. Once again, young boys were involved. I can go on and on. We must take these kids off the streets and give them positive outlets. Otherwise, news such as these will only increase”. Champion Spirit Foundation is the first step towards a safer Nigeria. Youth will be encouraged to grow up and become strong, productive members of society. Website & contact: http://www.championspirit.org/
