The idea of Rammalah Ballet Center came to Shyrine Ziadeh while she was at the university. She wanted to study something in art or theatre, but she couldn’t because there was simply no art school in Palestine that provides dance. She started giving classes to kids by advertising for them on a Facebook page that she created back in 2010, already named Ramallah Ballet Center and people started interacting and asking, and she searched for a place where she could book for free. She found one offered by the church in Ramallah and she started giving classes. She only wanted kids to express their feelings, to feel free, to listen to the music and to move. Then more people started to call and wanted to register.
Later on she has found a place to be more suitable for dance, a rooftop located in the old city. Now this space offers dance classes for everyone, kids, men, and women and teachers from all over the world come and help in giving classes, teaching and developing the idea of the studio, movements are being exchanged as well as culture, bringing people from different parts of the world to interact with the students, to teach and to learn from Palestinians. RBC offers dance classes from dabkeh to the folklore dance, ballet, contemporary, salsa, and tango, and any kind of dance or art classes
